Where this started

Most companies trying to enter a new market get the substance right and the delivery wrong. The product works, the values are real, the story is genuine, but it gets lost in translation the moment it crosses a border.

The instinct is usually to hire a local generalist, or to try to figure it out from the outside with research and good intentions. Neither replaces someone who has actually lived on both sides.

Across sustainability and green business specifically, this gap shows up constantly: founders with something worth exporting, and no one who can carry it convincingly into a market that speaks a different commercial language.

Collective Green was built around a different premise: that market entry isn't a research problem, it's a relationship and translation problem, one that requires someone who understands both the product and the place it's going.

The Philosophy

You cannot sell into a market you don't understand from the inside.

When a company's outreach, pitch, and positioning are shaped entirely by how things work at home, the results are predictable: conversations that go nowhere, partnerships that stall, a market that never quite opens up.

This isn't a product problem. It isn't a quality problem.

It's a translation problem.

Collective Green works at the level where that problem actually lives, the outreach, the positioning, and the relationships that make a market entry land.

How we work

Collective Green works across three interconnected layers. Addressing all three is what makes the difference between a cold pitch and a real foothold.

Strategy

Identifying the right partners, channels, and positioning for your brand in a new market, before a single outreach message goes out.

Execution

Building the outreach and sales motion that actually reaches decision-makers, and turning conversations into real partnerships.

On the ground

Someone who already understands how this market thinks, communicates, and does business, so nothing gets lost between what works at home and what works here.

"You cannot sell into a market you don't understand from the inside.”

About Aia

Collective Green is founded by Aia Ileana Sondergaard.

With a background spanning B2B sales, partnership development, and sustainability consulting, Aia brings a cross-cultural perspective to market entry, one that takes commercial reality, relationship-building, and cultural fluency seriously, all at once.

She has lived years on and off in the US, Europe and Latin America, and reads as American to American buyers while understanding Danish and European business culture from the inside, translating not just language but pace, expectations, and what actually closes a deal.

Her work is grounded in a simple conviction: that what works at home doesn't have to be reinvented to work elsewhere, it has to be translated by someone who's lived on both sides.

CollectiveGreen is the result of that work.
